I'm a real big fan of the Jess Williams series. Have all the books and have read them multiple times. He's one of my favorite characters. But I have to say, this story device of pairing him with a partner, which Mr. Thomas has been using a lot lately, is getting really tiring. Mr. Thomas needs to remember that the reason the JW series became so popular was Jess' individual success in tracking down and killing the most vile outlaws. Sure, an occasional partner brings a new twist to the story, but it seems like the last dozen books all have him partnering with different people. Let's get back to Jess as the main character and show new and exciting ways he uses his skills to catch the worst of humanity, and his response to the victims' tragedies. I was beginning to wonder if I would see another installment of Jess Williams this month. I have become so addicted to reading about Jess Williams that I become depressed when I do not see another one early on in the month. This book is loaded with action and love the way Jess helps out a young man who is so down on his luck and desperate to care for his wife and kids. Jess meets up with another famous gunslinger named Cheyenne, people are surprised to see the two of them together. I can not wait for the next installment for there is a hint that Jess and Cheyenne will once again work together.
