I first need to take a moment to celebrate the absolute creative brilliance of Caroline and Susanne. The flawless writing, the magnificent world-building and imagery, and characters that you can’t help but fall in love with...it all becomes better and better with each book of theirs I read.In Warrior Fae, Caroline and Susanne show us once again exactly how you finish a series and give our beloved characters the send-off they deserve. All of our burning questions are answered and mysteries solved, but Elise, Ryder, Dante, Gabriel and Leon have to fight hard to get there. Along the way, Elise finds her freedom, Gabriel and Ryder experience the meaning of family, Dante makes his peace, and Leon is always there, selflessly supporting everyone and bringing his laughter and light.For me, the most drastic and significant character development in this book was Ryder. Ryder’s transformation from the broken boy only capable of experiencing two emotions, to the selfless man who had become a savior, brother and friend, was truly remarkable. I loved seeing Ryder build and strengthen bonds with each of the guys and together they formed a true brotherhood.I am sad to say goodbye to these characters but look forward to hopefully seeing more from them in ZA7(fingers crossed!). A HUGE thank you to Caroline and Susanne for giving us such an extended epilogue. It gave me the satisfaction and closure I needed in order to say goodbye to these unforgettable characters. Another brilliant masterpiece from our favorite celestial authors! 💜 PNR/Fantasy RH with multiple supe types plus magic. Multi-POV. Mystery and suspense. Academy/University setting. Plenty of angst but without bully or E2L. And while there's angst and plenty of gut-twisting, heart-wrenching moments, there are so many moments which had me LOL’ng or my heart soared.. It's really brilliantly done.Warrior Fae is Book 5 and the final book for the Ruthless Boys of Zodiac series and picks up right from where the last book ends. In this final installment, we finally get answers and resolution to set these beloved characters up for their HEA. This is a beast of a book and there's a lot of story packed in plus a few time-lapsed epilogues.The Hs are some of my favorite book boyfriends and make up probably my favorite harem. I don’t think that I have ever loved every single H within a RH as equally as I have the Hs in this series. They are so layered and deep and broken and heart-warming -- just EVERYTHING! I love the character development each of them go through and the relationships they form with each other (platonic, no MM) alongside forming their own relationship with the FMC.Elise I have loved over the series for her strength, determination, vulnerability, and for loving as passionately as she fights for those she loves. But she let me down a bit in this book. I've watched every H grow over the series, sacrifice themselves and key pieces to their identity - time and again choosing her, choosing love, choosing their formed family. Elise is all about self sacrifice to the point of reckless disregard for herself or what endangering herself does to the men she loves. My one complaint with Elise is that she doesn't show the same growth, which had it feel imbalanced to me. She started this series single minded on vengeance and finding answers on her brother... And that comes full circle at the end. And keeping spoiler-free, she doesn't show a similar growth and there's more than one time she's a hair's breath away from f**king everything up cause she's once again blinded to anything else except for her thirst for vengeance and desperate need for her brother, consequences be damned.I love extra HEA time in epilogues or added novellas.
